Believe in...fairytales: Did you know the prettiest girls, date the shitiest guys?

Think of the most gorgeous girl in your school. Girls, you always ask yourself “Why can’t I be as pretty as her?” But what you don’t know is that girl has a very low chance of finding great guys. The nice, sweet, and caring guys are too shy to ask the gorgeous girl out. Guys are afraid of rejection. If they go and ask the gorgeous girl out, they think their going to be the biggest loser when she turns them down. Nice guys won’t ask the gorgeous girl out just because their afraid she’ll reject them. So who’s left for the gorgeous girl? Players, manwhore, douchebags, jackasses; the crappy guys. Those guys will ask the gorgeous girl out for one reason, sex. They score, and she gets treated like dirt. Did you know average looking girls have a much better chance at being in a good relationship with a good guy? So girls, you don’t really want to be the most gorgeous girl.

Very interesting perspective. There is a bit of truth to this but to a very limited extent. I agree that guys find some types of women intimidating but learning how to talk to people you are intimidated by (and also how to pick good guys) comes with age. To generalize that “all” gorgeous women get treated like dirt is a bit much. I think the biggest burdens (or benefits, depending on how you see it) come not from how you’re treated in a relationship but just how you’re treated by others in general. You deal with so many difficult situations that someone at a young age sometimes doesn’t know how to handle. I often hope that if I have a daughter, she will be rather plain.
